Green Smoothie

Thick, creamy and delicious with the added benefit of being crammed with the good stuff! Great as a pick me up in the day or for breakfast on the move.

If placed in an airtight bottle this can be made ahead and kept in the fridge for up to 3 days.

Ingredients

Half of a large cucumber or 1 small cucumber
1 thumb sized piece of ginger peeled
2 sticks of celery chopped
1 ripe banana
1/2 a ripe avocado
1 teaspoon of almond butter
(if you are having this as breakfast you could add 1 table spoon of almond butter…. cheeky!)

Method

  1. Blend the cucumber, celery and ginger (so it is liquid)
  2. Add the banana, avocado and almond butter
  3. Blend until smooth and creamy
